Primary objective of a fingerprint reader or scanner is to produce biometric templates for fingerprints presented to it for scanning. It first captures a digital image of the fingerprints which is known as a live scan. This live scan is then digitally processed to produce corresponding biometric template. Fingerprint Scanners are used for recognizing and authenticating the fingerprint of an individual. Fingerprint readers and the scanners are safe and reliable devices for any security authentication.
